HOUSE FOR MR. ASHISH MEHTA

Introduction
Ashish Mehta’s house is located in Moto Sutharwado, in Kadia 3, it is a corner house situation with three sides open. There is no courtyard in this particular case. The house used to be a part of a larger house as indicated in survey sheet no. 24 , survey no 3104. With the division of the large house into several parts, this particular corner plot was established. The house shows a very peculiar kind of damage. This particular damage started occuring after 1980 when the house had a extention of 2nd floor wall and a new slab on the second floor. This was done with improper knowledge of the structure. As a result of which the canitleverd part of the house was loaded with extra weight.

Earthquake and its impacts :
During the earthquake and the later after shocks that followed , the adjoining houses were transfering the load on this particular house laterally. As a result this house (the corner plot) has been showing a consideralble settling down.

Financial Situation :
The owner here Mr. Ashish Mehta is restoring the house by taking financial aid from his relative Mr. Priyadarshan bhai. The doner had offered his limit of aid. With in which, first and foremost the structural clarifications had to be done. As a result of the financial situation the project was divided into two phases.
